Blue crystals - opal
Opal meaning: Opals come in many colours and each colour corresponds with the same colours of the chakra. Blue opal is synonymous with the throat chakra, and it ‘helps your truth flow’. Worn at the throat as a necklace is perfect to let this stone of amplification do its work. Grandidierite chemistry: iron magnesium silicate. This trichroic crystal, exhibits three different colours: blue, green & yellow or a mixture of those.

Blue crystals - labradorite

Labradorite myths & legends: Labradorite is believed to have fallen from the Aurora Borealis and got trapped in rocks along the coast of Labrador. One Day, the rock was stuck with a spear and a rock broke off setting many off the lights free, flying out into the sky- But some of the lights remained trapped in the stone.
Labradorite chemistry: The stone’s blue sheen is a result of twinned mineral planes, it belongs to plagioclase feldspars family. It’s a sister stone to moonstone, which has the same luminescence.

Meaning: Detoxifying. Associated with purifying Spinel can cleanse the mind of negative thoughts
Birth stone: August
Chemistry: Found in a variety of colours the spinel is gaining in popularity for jewellery, they are often used to mimic other blue gemstones.
