I have always been accepting that there should be ups and downs in life, but just occasionally when you are in crisis, it always seems that everyone else has got it better. My dearly departed Mother used to say, “walk outside your door when you feel down, and you’ll realise there are others less fortunate than you”. She was a wise woman.

If I could impart any wisdom from my years on the planet to you, it would be to believe in yourself. If you meet people that are toxic and pull you down, then gradually move away and keep them at arm’s length. Very rarely, in my experience, does a leopard change its spots.
